At the end of August I had to go to England for work, so afterwards I took the opportunity to take some time off in the United Kingdom. I had heard from a bunch of people that Scotland was awesome, but I had no idea what I was in for.
Funny thing, while I was there Scotland got voted as the most beautiful place in the world. Fact that the locals brought up a lot, but now that I have been there I must say... They are not wrong...
To add even more flavour, everything had a tale behind it (mostly a fairy tale). This added a layer of lore and mysticism to a place which could have been ripped right out of a fantasy novel.
I remember being on a bus looking out the window at one point and thinking, "This is the most beautiful landscape I've ever seen". Then the bus would make a turn "Nope, this is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen", and another "..... really?", and another "oh, c'mon!". At some point I would just giggle to my self in disbelief.
I had never seen concentrated rain and sunrays at the same time, the angles they would create in the sky were amazing. At one point I thought to myself, if these landscapes and weather were in a video game I would have just thought they were hyper-realistic, nope just Scotland.
Anyway, here is a bunch of pictures I took. To be honest, as much as I tried I don't think I was able to capture how amazing this place is. I truly can only say, you have to go there and experience it for your self.
